Shauna Claire is an Irish soprano based in London, completing her Master of Performance at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Professor Janice Chapman. Recent roles include Sœur Constance and Blanche de la Force in Dialogues des Carmélites, and Sophie in Werther at Prague Opernfest.

Shauna Claire is an Irish soprano based in London. The final student of Dr Veronica Dunne and a graduate of the Royal Irish Academy of Music, she is completing her Master of Performance in Vocal Studies at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama with Professor Janice Chapman, Linnhe Robertson and Michael Pugh.
At Guildhall she sang both Sœur Constance and Blanche de la Force, on alternating nights, in Poulenc’s Dialogues des Carmélites. In 2025 she made her Prague debut as Sophie in Massenet’s Werther with the Czech Virtuosi Orchestra in Smetana Hall. Other roles include Tytania, Nannetta, Marzelline, Pamina, Susanna and Zerlina, and she created Cis Power in the world premiere of Stephen McNeff’s Spirits Unsurrendered.
Her prizes include the Veronica Dunne Cup at the Dublin Feis Ceoil and the John McCormack Bursary.
